Bali Mountain Villas is located in Banjar Biyahan, Sarinbuana, Tabanan, on the slopes of Gunung Batukaru the second highest peak in Bali.

The villa is set in a remote area offering access to jungle. It is located over 2000 feet (600 meters) above sea level and has a temperate climate all year. Guests may require light warm clothing during the evenings in June to October. Early morning guided rice-field treks, jungle walks, temple visits and day tours are available from the Bali Mountain Retreat which also offers a restaurant and boutique. Going South towards Kuta and the airport, one passes through Seminyak and Legian with many fine restaurants and shopping opportunities. The surfing beaches of Canggu are close at hand and can be reached in about 60 minutes. The airport is roughly 90-120 minutes away.
Villa Transportaion
After recent experiences we strongly recommend using the pick up service as we are difficult to find and Balinese drivers automatically go to their father Temple Batukaru. This detour adds 1 1/2 hours to the trip as we are not in this area. The price then usually rises. Be aware, taxis will not come up the mountain on these roads.
Transport costs to Bali Mountain Villas by A/C vehicle from the areas of Airport, Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur and Ubud is Rp 400.000 - Rp 500,000 (depending on time spent shopping) one way, the trip is 2 hours, maximum 4 people. Booking is essential. Any other areas for pick up or drop off will be negotiated first.
